Prince Charles (b. 1948)

Charles Phillip Arthur George was born in 1948. He became the heir apparent on the accession of Queen Elizabeth in 1952. In 1958, he became the Prince of Wales and Earl of Chester.

The Prince had his early education in Scotland and Australia. During college years, he studied archaeology and anthropology and later history at the University of Cambridge. He graduated from Cambridge with BA (Honours) degree in 1971.

It appears from his speeches that he has a good study on Islam and Islamic history. His respect and appreciation for Islam and Muslims, and perhaps for other religious communities as well, is remarkable. He has indeed set an example of religious tolerance for everyone to follow.
