Understanding God Through Reasoning Anyone who carefully reads Ms. Brooks’ questions would realize that her confusion came from religious doctrines that are not dealt with or discussed from a rational and intellectual perspective and that she would probably be satisfied to know the Islamic answers to those questions. But rather than addressing her questions point-by-point and providing clear-cut Islamic answers to those, it would be more appropriate to address these issues from a logical perspective before attempting Islamic answers ...    Full Article |

Very concise, and yet it is the strongest possible statement that establishes the equality of all human beings. |
| Prophet Muhammad Spoke |
"People are like the teeth of a comb. You are all from Adam, and Adam is from dust. There is no superiority of white over black, nor of Arab over non-Arab, except by piety." |
1200 years before the American constitution was drafted, Islam established the equality of all human beings in unambiguous terms. |

"My plea is not for Islam bur for understanding. Christians and Jews should get
acquainted with Islam and see Muslims as human beings, not in ugly, false
stereotypes. For our own sake, as we strive to live happily on this
ever-striking globe, we should demolish the false images that flaw our vision
and sometimes misdirect our government’s policy."

They said to the sage Luqman, "From whom didst thou learn wisdom?" He replied, "From
the blind, who advance not their feet till they have tried the ground."
(From Shaikh Sadi's "The Rose Garden")
Luqman was a wise man whose name is mentioned in the Qur'an. In fact, the 31st sura (chapter) in the Qur'an is named after him. He is widely known for his sagacity and wisdom. According to some he was a prophet, but the Qur'an does not mention specifically that he was a prophet. His fables are so widely known in the East that according to Edward Eastwick the Greeks probably borrowed the account of Aesop from Luqman. Some of the beautiful advices that Luqman gave to his son is mentioned in the Qur'an in verses 31:12-19. |
